welcome message from our pastor

At First Baptist, as the founding chapter of Veterans In Christ, we're humbled and honored by the legacy of those who have served our nation. They carry the banner of freedom which calls us all to the highest good. Veterans In Christ represents the victory won here at home, on foreign fields and in the hearts of those serving and served. May God bless our veterans and the team members of Veterans In Christ who are serving to honor our veterans and enlist them as soldiers for Christ.

OUR VISION

To honor Veterans for their patriotic service and enlist them as soldiers for Christ.

OUR MISSION

Veterans In Christ at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale's (FBCFLVIC) mission is twofold:

• To recognize and honor Veterans of the Armed Forces, men and women, for their patriotic service, dedication and sacrifice in the name of freedom;
• To encourage Veterans to unite under the command of Christ, to be trained and equipped for service that will glorify God, assist the Body of Christ, and carry forward the Great Commission.

OUR CORE VALUES

• Jesus Christ is our Commander-In-Chief, the Lord-Is-Our-Banner. (Exodus 17:15)
• The word of God is our sword, our inerrant manual. (Ephesians 6:17), (Hebrews 4:12)
• Prayer is our preparation, our request for orders. (Ephesians 6:18), (Col. 4:2), (James 5:16)
• Evangelism - the Great Commission - is our command. (Matthew 28:19)
• Discipleship is our training. (Luke 6:40)
• Fellowship is our bond. (1 John 1:7)
• Action, intentional and proactive, with a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline, supports our faith. (2 Timothy 1:7), (James 2:20)
